You can click and then immediately hit F5 to reload. In Firefox that'll count the vote and reload the page. IE and others pop up the separate notification box that screws with the page refresh. But, at least with Firefox, you can stay on the same page. Also, and as a way to avoid the cooler banner, you can shrink the browser window down to its smallest width / heighth, and the vote button will still be visible and easy to click. With the other page real estate closed off, there are fewer misfires.
It's funny how we have this shite down to a science of several different ways to maximize effort.

You shot your load too early. You tipped your hand that you have a mountain of people willing to hit the button. They recruited also. You should have waited until the last day.

Why are y'all closing out each tab individually?
Posted on 12/12/14 at 10:07 am to CocomoLSU
I've only done about 100 votes (estimate) over the last couple of days. I'll try and do some more while I sit here and watch the price of oil drop even more.

What's the ASU vote tally per hour? Would be nice to know what is the minimum vote lead we would need with 8 hours left to ensure victory.
I was thinking about that one my way to work this morning...how far could we be down Monday morning around 6 to still be close enough to overcome the defecit and win?
I fully expect his numbers to rise steadily all weekend and into Monday, so hopefully ours can/will as well, so that even if we're not winning, we still give ourselves a chance Monday morning. Felt really good about it through last night, especially after the previous night we kept (and extended, after his run) the lead. Then last night happened and the biggest lead of the tournament was erased in a matter of about 7 hours. So now I don't know what to think.

anybody try my auto refresh method on the cell phone?
Posted on 12/12/14 at 10:09 am to CE Tiger
Nah, I'm trying to avoid voting from cell phone at all costs. Trying to get as many votes as I can from my 27" monitor

put that bitch on wifi and you can get a vote per second
im assuming once the beer starts spinning then the vote is counted right?

I agree. Could have won with 5k votes instead of maybe losing with 200k.

how far back is that? I'll give it a shot.

Chicken deleted the Rant thread, so no more threads on any more boards...we'll just have to roll with this one, which has been the bread and butter of this thing anyway.

in android there is an app called auto web page refresh. under settings you put in the url and set an interval to refresh, you can put it at like one second and just keep clicking like hell on the vote button

I wondered what the vote would be right now had we just not done anything up to this point but voted ourselves...then like Sunday morning just hit it hard and ran away with it.
Easy to second guess it now though.
