Quite the opposite for me. I'm perfectly fine with groups of people having "_____ month/week/day" to better market their cause.
What is hilarious are the companies that go full-sprint to virtue signal their support to the respective cause. Then completely abandon the cause once the specified time period is over.
This goes beyond special-interest groups. You see it from companies/orgs when the local sports team is doing exceptionally well, too. If they'd quit pandering, focus on providing a quality product/service, and treat everyone fairly...they wouldn't need to participate in these marketing shenanigans. If the company has a cause they are particularly passionate about, then support that cause all year...not just when convenient/notable.
