Get you a good dog. I had a mixed hound that would dig them up and kill them. Eradicated the problem in no time.

Problem solved. You won’t have rats, lizards, geckos, snakes, or slow birds either.
Yeah, but then he'll have an annoying arse little Jack Russell. I'd rather have moles.

I know for a fact these do NOT work:

Couple years ago my parents showed up with a pair of them...for a 20 acre piece of land, 2 of these spikes.

Well, to make them feel better I went ahead and placed them in the yard. about 40 steps apart.

Next morning I pointed out the window at the farthest west one, showed Dad the pile of dirt a mole pushed up about 3 inches from the thing.

Heh, still had the photo stored!

used a Victor plunger style spike trap to get rid of the moles in my yard when I lived in Virginia. It worked really well as long as you place it on an active tunnel.

Worked for me also. You depress a spot on an active tunnel, put the trap there and when they repair that spot, WHAM, spiked. Mine were gone in a week or so.

My spaniel has taken care of the moles in my yard. The downside is that my yard now looks like a minefield.

I have a load of sand in my truck waiting for me to get off my arse and fill in all the holes.

I'd rather have the damn tunnels than these ankle breakers.
