what caused the accident?

The eighteen wheeler driver (who died) said that he topped the hill to see the pickup stopped in the middle of the interstate and could not avoid a collision.

The news reports say that the pickup rear ended another eighteen wheeler before being struck.

That’s all I know.

This was a grass fire.

It's scary how dry it was before the rain we got this week. Lincoln Parish was one of the "No burn" parishes up here. Our ban got lifted after .5 inches Thursday and .2 yesterday.

Will be dry again after we get a little sunshine.

He was a great guy and will be sorely missed.

I’ve met him and his gf several times. Gut wrenching for his family and the other family. I’m so sorry for those who are suffering these losses. They are enormous any time, but this time of year can be worse if that’s possible.
