I don't see how this helps the agenda. Let's try to make sure the big outlets don't get this, mmkay?

Are you implying that anyone wants to hear about this? Nothing that is contrary to the current BLM narrative will gain any traction in this country. You're supposed to just keep quiet and understand that you should feel guilty.

Need to enjoy it while they can. People aren't going to be so PC in the next 50-100 years.

Hopefully you are right. Problem is we have way too many bleeding heart liberals in this country

How the frick do you put a rookie officer in that situation? This should have never happened. She had absolutely no business binng in that situation. It takes quite some time for an officer to learn how to deal with these situations in a real life scenario.

What a shame.

Absolutely terrible. First day on the job, and a domestic violence call goes extremely bad. They should bring back hanging, drawing, and quartering for capital punishment. There is no cruel and unusual punishment for people who do things such as this. The sad thing is the accused is probably going to try for the insanity defense.

She wasn't a rookie. First day on the job with this Dept, not first day as a cop ever

I understand your sentiment, but the people like you and I are the only ones who are going to change that. Don't throw you hands up in the air when this happens and just say that it isn't part of the agenda so it will be ignored - do everything you can to keep it from being ignored. The media is addicted to ratings/money. If more people were interested in these kind of stories than the BLM stuff, these stories would get all the publicity.

I'm not calling you out specifically, but rather making a point to everyone who holds that same sentiment. These stories get swept under the rug and forgotten because we let them. BLM stuff stays in the news because we let it. It is up to us to change that.

ETA: This story is terribly sad and heartbreaking. The more people care about it, the bigger it will get. The longer people care about it, the longer you'll hear about it. Such an awful thing to happen to such an innocent life.

She's still a trainee. You have to learn how that agency operates. How the radio traffic is handled. You have to learn how they deal with domestic cases. There is a lot of variables here.

Not to mention that as a senior officer, I wouldn't trust an unknown officer as my backup. You have to develop a teamwork ability where you can communicate effectively. Obviously things went very wrong here.

Nearly 100 percent of officer deaths occur because of bed tactics.

Department of defense is about to pay the frick out of the family and that police department just based on the press. So many unstable idiots in the military.
