I think you’re using the word stress when I would use the word anger. I’m in high pressure/high stress situations quite often and I don’t have that type of mental reaction. I think mean and offensive thoughts when I am angry at a person or situation.

I mean, maybe. I think a plenty would argue that "effing thug" when used toward a black guy is a modern slur. And to the extent it's used towards a black guy for being black, I would agree.
Anyway, I doubt most people commenting in this thread are having intrusive racial thoughts in the way you are suspecting - unless your mind going to racially/sex/other characteristic-tinged stereotypes counts (and in that case I'm interested in hearing about it because I assume that's widespread but perhaps I'm just demented).

I'm just repeating the poster I'm originally responding to. To be an annoying nerd, I'd suggest they are all examples of emotional responses formed from sympathetic nervous system hyperactivity. You have to be primed in those environments if you are expected to perform in those situations regularly. The only time I get angry is occasionally when playing pick-up, and using a slur in that environment would be very stupid.

Well, sure. I know people who are like that. I dont really associate with them.
I have an crazy drunk uncle. He's basically the black version of an actual klansman. He believes all black people are God incarnate. He believes all white people are the devil, children of satan, etc. He is racist af, and I'm not going to pretend that he's not.
So, let me rephrase. Yes, I do know people like that. They are in the minority, however. And I don't try to pretend that they're not racist.

Possibly. You give people too much credit though.
I was driving through one of the really nice neighborhoods off Highland in BR a few years back. I was already going slow (under 20) in my little car and my wife asked me to slow down to look at a house. I was passing the house at 10-12mph when 2 dogs came barreling out at me from the neighbor. Neighbor lady in her 50s ran out and stood IN the road as I passed and was flipping me off. So I stopped the car, rolled down the window, and calmly asked if there was a problem. She started cussing and screaming at me about almost hitting her dogs who literally charged my car. I laughed and drove off.
Moral of the story: people are crazy. Don't expect the crazy ones to be rational.
