I had a package overnighted to me from Mobile last Wednesday. I got it today.
I was able to order from Amazon and get my package within that one frame. I was able to order some hunting gear with UPS ground I. That time frame as well.
FedEx is beyond shitty right now. I would drive to where ever you ordered something from and pick it up yourself before shipping anything fedex.

cgrand,
It is really irrelevant whether fedex employs drivers or contracts for drivers. They are still responsible for delivering packages.
And whether fedex operates its own website and tracking system or contracts that out, it’s still a piece of crap with their name and logo plastered all over it.
All they have to do is admit that they are behind schedule due to the hurricane or other issues and cease providing their customers with bullshite information. It’s one thing to tell a customer that his package will be late. It’s another thing entirely to inform that customer that their package is in the destination town and then falsely inform that customer that their package will be delivered to them three days in a row with no results.

I had a new macbook shipped from apple through FedEx, and was told signature would be required. The day before it was supposed to come I was offshore and didn't have reception. I get off the boat that night and check my email and it said package was delivered that morning with no signature, so they left a brand new box with an Apple logo on my porch all day in mid-city BR.
I call me girlfriend and she said the package was not there when she home from work, so I assumed it was stolen and got in touch with FedEx, filed a claim. Anyway, I get dropped off in BR the next day, and go out to my truck and the package is sitting on the hood, absolutely soaking weak. The driver left a macbook, without getting a signature, threw it on the hood of my truck, and it sat there for 2 days in the rain
Luckily the computer was unharmed. Haven't been able to ask my FedEx driver about it, such a strange situation. And I thought USPS sucked. Maybe it's just BR.

Last Tuesday I spent $40 to have something overnighted to me. It showed up at 8:00 pm on Friday.

I have a few outstanding orders with FedEx and some they aren't even attempting to deliver. I just get a notification its ready for pick up at the FedEx office.
Also, do not bother calling the "support" line. No support and can barely speak english. Only answer in very scripted responses can't handle simple questions.

Do we work in the same industry???? I've been running into similar issues.
The New Orleans Old Dominion Shipping Terminal has been closed since the storm passed through.. but don't worry!! They're back up and running 75%. Don't ask them about the 1000s of dollars worth of material floating around out there.. They are all shoulders.

Any business that builds a terminal below sea level shouldn’t exist.

The one in Harahan was nuts. I go every Thursday to drop off a package. I have an account so the box is labeled and ready to go. Well over 60 people in line, I'm going there tomorrow at 7:30 and dropping that sucker off at the door.

SHIPPING MACHINE BROKE!
Really getting tired of these companies (more likely the employees) relying on their crutches of covid, storm, bs. I'm tired of the excuse, DO YOUR FKN JOB!
I really think its the inmates running the asylum at some businesses and the employees just make up something so they don't have to work.

My fedex package arrived in Baton Rouge on 9/11 and was, according to the fedex website tracking system, on a fedex truck for delivery on 9/12 - no package.
It appeared again the website on 9/16, out for delivery that day - no package.
Next and most recent indication on website was that my package arrived at a fedex facility at 11:25 PM yesterday.
Status says delivery scheduled today even though it’s apparently not in a truck. WTF is this shite??

If you know which shipping facility your package is stacked up in, then use google search to find a phone number for that location. And ask to speak to manager in charge of deliveries. Of course, you must call between 7 AM and 3 PM Monday thru Friday to have a chance to speak to one.
You'll hear the sob story about Covid. You'll hear the sob story about hurricanes (except for the fact that Fedex deliveries nationwide are all in the crapper). They will tell you how many trailers they have that are not unloaded yet. (A number that will double in a week's time at their current level of performance).
If your call gets any response at all, it will probably be that they shitcan your order and you wait even longer. But it's better than talking to the Punjab office and getting those canned replies and a readback of the online status report for your packages.

Same thing has happened to me, says it was coming today. Just got another text saying it is delayed do to weather. Won’t come until Tuesday, what a bunch of clowns

I've had a package that requires a signature "in transit" Baton Rouge for 3 days. Finally was able to speak to a human this am , and was told that means it is in a trailer in Baton Rouge just sitting there, waiting to be unloaded, sorted then delivered. It originally was set for delivery Thursday. It sucks because it requires a signature, not convenient when you have no idea a timeframe, and dont work from home.

live in Memphis, no some connected FedEx guys...they lost or laid off (not sure) tons of drivers...hired tons of contractors and it has been a disaster....just fired tons of the contractors and are going a different direction- guessing paying more
We have some people that still get payroll checks, but the checks got stuck in Memphis for a week. We had to cancel them all and get the payroll company to reprint them and then drive to pick them up.
