Incoming csb but worth the read, imo.
I’m finishing up my school admin masters and am helping with a lot of things in the office of my school to get hours for my portfolio to graduate. Our principal sends me an email today to come down when I get a chance to handle a voicemail. I get down there and he’s chuckling to himself as he plays the voicemail. Older lady that is having trouble editing a “list of athletic accomplishments” on her brother typewriter to “send to the golden state warriors” and wants to know if we “have a student that can help her.”
Explains nothing else, I thought she was off her rocker. I call her back and start explaining to her that I can’t promise anything but would be happy to check with our national honors society students or whatever. She cuts me off mid sentence to “explain more.” Then proceeds to tell me she was the first women drafted into the NBA in 1969 to the San Francisco warriors and is being inducted into their hall of fame next month which is what the accomplishments are for. Apparently Denise Long Rife lives right down the road from my school in Kansas for some reason and thought to ask us for help with her warriors hall of fame paperwork.
Awesome lady.
So she’s my favorite female athlete of all time now.

Her and her husband do business with my cousin regularly. He's told me that both her and the husband are great people. And of course that she's a smoke show IRL. They've done exceptionally well for themselves financially.

Did God give us a greater gift than beautiful women?

Oh yeah if we are talking looks.. I actually met her one time... of all places at the dentist and she is actually really nice.. Or was the day I met her so if I were to name a favorite female athlete based on their athletic ability it definitely would be her.
