Hydroxychloroquine didn't bring nearly dead people on the vent back to life. Sad.

They did the same "emergency use approval" for Hydroxychloroquine at the beginning of April.

Misleading thread title... Emergency Use Authorization is NOT approval for the indication. Here's the actual EUA: FDA.gov
All this does is allow for its use outside of clinical trials and compassionate use programs. Gilead still can't even sell the drug...it has to be handed over to the US government or authorized distributors for distribution to hospitals.
Promising news, but unfortunately I've been a part of more than one drug development programs where a positive trial is followed by negative results. We are all cautiously optimistic.
