Doesn’t mean a whole lot to me that some government agency is being pressured into rubber stamping something quickly.

Is there we go from “If it is so safe why hasn’t the FDA approved it?” to “I don’t trust them, they approved it too fast”.

The height of irony is all of these small government “conservatives” whining about wanting more gov red tape and the ability to hire a Plaintiff’s attorney if need be.

I shouldn’t need an attorney because I shouldn’t be forced to take it.

But if it’s FDA approved and your employer mandates then they are liable as well correct?

Much better chance at damages from employer than a federal govt agency

Edit: genuinely asking I’m not claiming to be expert on liability laws

My BIL’s wife’s mechanic is in the ER because of the vaccine. He’s healthy but has diabetes and hypertension. There’s no doubt in my mind the damn vaccine caused his clots.

I don't care if Jesus came down from heaven and approved it.

Still not getting a vaccine for something I have a statistically 100% chance of surviving

Geez must be nice to hold zero liability when making hundreds of billions of dollars.

People love tort reform when it protects their pocket and hate it when it protects a pocket they might like to slip their hand into at some point.

Believe it or not vaccines are a low-profit sector for Pharma. Without VICP there would be significantly less if any vaccine research at least with Big Pharma money.

It helps when you understand it is like Workers Comp. To recover one doesn't have to prove negligence only causation which under the VICP has a low bar for "on the table" injuries. It makes getting compensation easier/quicker and the amount one gets better for 90% of the injured. This is very similar to WC.

VICP is one of the better designed tort reform measures.

I just saw where someone in SWLA was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome shortly after getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

I think I will continue with the natural antibodies I have from previously having Covid.

You act like the FDA is some infallible institution. Hesitancy can encompass many other factors aside from FDA approval. A quick look at the FDA “food pyramid” tells me all I need to know about their competence when it comes to health.

This case is one where people should be least worried about the FDA per se. The number of clinicians and researchers that have been watching the data across the entire world means this is one of the most-watched and studied pharma rollouts ever with hundreds of millions of doses already given.

Understood but there are cases of drugs being on the market for 30+ years before being pulled because we finally realized they cause cancer. One as recent as 2019 that had been in commercial use since 1981.

Find a new employer then and enjoy sports at home or at a bar that won't require the vax.

Expedited review so they jumped to the front of the line and more data played out in public view than any other vaccine trial ever. The FDA has been watching closely since the beginning.

operation warp speed is trumps best big exec bypass red tape and shite rolling, characteristic vibes he likes to portray, a classic trump move. love him or hate him its gotta be a top 10 highlight in his presidency.

hella cool thing that I hope somewhat has strong pro-streamlining influence on the drug approval process in general going forward.
