If this is true, I hope the base is armed up. The disarming of the military on bases was a huge mistake.

I'm tired of Obama saying shootings like this don't happen in any other countries.

Africa (yes I know it's a continent) is ran by war lords

Mexico is ran by the drug cartel

The Middle East speaks for itself

Columbia is the cocaine power house, no gun violence there?

I would love to live here compared to any of those

I think he usually talks about developed countries like many of the countries in Europe.

The lockdown on Kirtland AFB has been lifted. The base went into a precautionary lockdown following reports of gun shots on the west side of the base. Security Forces could not substantiate the claims of gunfire and has determined there is no threat to the base.

He actually said that he didn't know if this was terrorist situation or not but, at the least, they are dealing with a domestic terror situation.

Now CNN commentator saying that most likely militia group bc most terrorists blow themselves up. (Serious disbelief on my part)

Kirtland is in New Mexico. If this is connected, we're in for it.

Yup. This could be the beginning.

and the price of AR-15's and ammo just went up

Ammo is still elevated (and scarce) since Newtown. Guns? Not so much. Everyone who has been on the fence has gotten 1 or 3 over the past few years. Every major maker has multiple models available.

It's still a buyers' market for AR-15s, currently.

But, yeah, good luck finding cheap range ammo in 5.56mm NATO.

Last big gun scare I traded one of my AR's for a Sig stainless Elite... then I traded that for a NIB Glock RTF and a NIB Beretta M9. Sold the Glock for $700 and kept the M9.
