Favorite Shirt/Tie color combo

I wear a suit just about every weekend for extra curricular events, so what's a good color combo? Been in a funk lately and only going with oxford blue shirt and Black tie. Also this event is business-like I guess? It's speech and Debate so wanted some opinions. Thanks guys

My favorite would probably be a white shirt (plain or with light blue stripe/check pattern) with pink tie. Second would be similar shirt with some light blue tie.
Purple shirt with a good purple tie can look sharp, but can also be a disaster with wrong shades. Also many people just have horrendous taste in ties....

White shirt with a subtle texture. Blood red tie with a subtle pattern. Dark suit - grey or navy.

White shirt, red (at least the main color) tie. Although I don't mind a bunch of color ties.
