Roider during the serial killer period was great. She was crazy as shite and you barely had to try. The slightest noise made her run out of class.
Sauley was ok. Anderson for accounting was great. Don't remember the name but had a history professor quit over spring break and got a new teacher who hadn't read any of the assigned books to test us on and I hadn't even bought them at the time. Perfect for me.

late 80's: Drew Gouvier was awesome for abnormal psych, and Bill Grimes was great for history of jazz (mentioned by a previous poster).
Ellen Glickman-Weiss, PhD was great in kinesiology. She did great research at Pennington, and I was glad to be able to be an assistant while I could.
She (a New York Jew) asked me: what's the deal with the cajuns? So I told her the story of the cajuns.
I asked her: whats the deal with the Jews? Rosh Hashannah and all that? So she told me.
It was a great cultural exchange.
and a great compliment to Mel Brooks and Don Rickles, my only Jewish influences, on Johnny Carson.

History professor, former Marine, storyteller extraordinaire. When he died, the Reveille said the cause of death was a broken heart because his mother passed away earlier.
My favorite as well. Helluva great teacher.

Best: Rick Blackwood - Love and War in Literature aka History of Sex and Violence in Cinema. One of the most interesting guys I've ever met. He graduated from UCLA film school in 1968. Joined the Navy, fought w french foreign legion, went through Buds, wrote successful screen plays, wrote war games w top security clearance for pentagon, started LSU film program. Guy was super intense and had us read stuff from Freud, Machiavelli, sun tzu, Nietzsche, etc. He would then show classic films that correlated to the books.
Hottest: Katy Provenzale

Can't believe it took 5 pages for this guy to make it. Had him for P-Chem. Told us at the beginning of the semester, we would all get A's and B's if we beat Bama in football. Guy stayed true to his word.

I had him for Statics in 05. After Katrina a UNO professor came in and I got switched to his class. The next semester I had Abu Al-Rub for Strengths and Dynamics. I wish I wasn't switched out of his class for Statics now.
Best professor I had at LSU.

I forget his name, but he taught three classes on the History of the Vietnam War in 1994. Best three classes I ever took at LSU. Second would be Jenni Peters and her two marketing classes. She made her classes relate to the real world and we had to do a project with a local business to help promote their business and the effect of your promotion on their business results determined your grade.
