I don't find that any more acceptable. Why joke with a stranger like that? I don't get it. People have their reasons and that's as likely to make someone feel crappy as a period joke. Again, especially a woman with her kids.

Meh.... I doubt the kid meant anything rude, just said something stupid. I definitely wouldn't had went to the store and confronted the guy. If that is the most difficult thing she has to deal with growing up, she's doing good.

From what I gather the clerk is a smart-arse who makes smart-arse jokes the Baw just had it with the jokes.
What's telling is that Baw said his girls said they hope he wasn't working there and he always makes smart-arse jokes that they don't like.
