I Haven't been in almost 10 years. What's this crap you have to get them online now? How many can you get in a day?

I think they changed it, but 3 a day and its tiered.
Its pretty awesome actually.
Download the app and do it from there.

It's not so much the online deal but the prerequisite of joining the Mickey Mouse Club. Dues are outrageous.

It's a pain now.
You have to select them far in advance and plan your day around them. After you use them you can get more .
You can only select them in one park per day.

So once you use all 3 then you can schedule more from the app?

The wife and I went Jan 2016 and were able to squeeze in 6 Fast Passes (once you use all 3 you can get another 3 is the way it worked, if I remember correctly).
Get the first 3 online and use them for stuff that's available early that you want to do. The moment you get done with the third one, get to a kiosk and schedule the next three.

You schedule 3 in advance. After you use all 3, you can schedule one at a time inside the park.
To make the most of it, schedule them as far in advance as possible (so you can get the early times for busy rides) as early in the day as possible (so you can use them up quicker in the day and start scheduling one at a time thereafter) for the rides with the longest waits. If you're not sure what rides to schedule them for, download the Disney app and watch the wait times throughout the day. Many rides will ebb and flow over the course of the day and can be walked straight onto or waited on for 20 minutes or less on any given day. A few rides have over an hour wait from the time the park opens until the time it closes.

You get 3 pre day. However, when you finish your 3rd one, you can get another one(it will tell you what available on the app). Literally, when you scan your 3rd fast pass, start looking on the app.
Definitely get seven dwarfs mine train.
The app is great. Also, buy a portable power bank to charge your phone during the day. Using the app will drain your battery pretty fast.

^^^
Disagree to an extent. If you are willing to get your arse to the parks early, do your FPs for mid morning and bust arse to hit popular rides when the park opens.

If you're fat then get a scooter. Not only will you fit right in, they'll let you go to the front of the line because you're "disabled".

They should charge more for adults that have no physical handicap other than weight and need to use scooters. There are far too many hover-rounds and scooters all over the park.

I hate that they changed it. I preferred when you walked by the ride and grabbed one. I don't want to have to plan my frickin rides months in advance.

And I know this is about fast passes, but take this advise..
Uber to the parks if you can. They treat them like buses and private transportation and you will be dropped off right in front of the park. We went during Mardi Gras and Ubered from the contemporary to animal kingdom for $7 and then ubered from there to Epcot for $12. Its way better than catching the buses and will save you a ton of time.

3 per day.
If someone in your party as any kind of disability and I mean any kind, you can go to the Magic Kingdom Townhall and request a disability pass. You can claim just about anything without a doctor's excuse. Anxiety disorder is a good excuse.
The person with the disability will have their Magic Band scanned and the entire party can get into the fast pass line one hour after scanning the band at the ride enterence. The point is you can do your fast pass rides during that hour then the disability pass then scan the disablty pass, fast pass etc. etc. You can get a lot of rides done in one day doing this with only waiting in the fast pass lines.

You can also use fast passes for meet and greets with the characters. There was a 100 min wait to meet Cinderella. So, used a fast pass to meet them.
That is if you have small ones.
You can also modify your fast pass and swap one of the 3 out for something else. You can check throughout the day to see what's available.
