I honestly don't think he wants to be "loved by" anyone. While most of his hits are hip hop, if you listen to his album Beerbongs and Bentleys, overall its more alternative than hip hop.
And if he was so desperately wanted to be loved by those you say that hate him.. I doubt he would have a sponsorship with Crocs.. That doesn't really appeal to the hardcore hip hop crowd.
Dude is a really good musician.

As for as him "not acting normal", he might have gotten a little more fricked up than he planned on.
One of my aunts hates Hank Williams Jr to this day because she paid to go see him twice.. The first time he didn't even make it to the stage, the second time he came out so fricked up, he started playing one song.. Was slurring and just walked off.
Its not the first time a performer at a concern got on stage fricked up. At least he got through his songs.

Its insane.. In the 80s there were rock bands that had long hair and wore make up with tight clothes, that had tattoos who made millions off of their music.
