You're right... we should probably let the two year old drive.

The fact that you made this thread tells me that you definitely "keep score" with your wife.

What are you having your toddlers do when prepping for a vacation?

Only advice I have is to leave in the middle of the night. The toddlers will sleep and you’ll be 5hrs in before people wake up.

Give the kids as much work as they can handle. Even push them a little bit. Do it all the time and every time. Try not to be stern about it, and even make it fun if you can.

It’s the only way they will learn to take responsibility. They will become competent adults and thank you later.

Give the toddlers as much token work as you can find for them, even if it takes you longer to get a task done. It won’t take too long before their contributions will actually be meaningful.

“Hey Lil’ Bro, go in the bathroom closet and bring me 2 rolls of toilet paper. Now put them in the bag with the towels and hairdryer. Good man!”

You help pack.

You load.

You drive.

Wife does the rest as she’ll be napping while you drive 7+ hours.

This guy gets it.

It's called "parenting".

Truly depends upon your Whipped Quotient.

The higher the whippedness, the more on you.
