Never, because I would make sure my child knows that the date they picked is a no-go, and they sure as shite better change it if they want me to A. help pay for it, and/or B. show up. Having a wedding when your own sibling cannot attend, thus forcing your parents to choose between your siblings is absolutely classless. You deserve that shitty waffle iron I picked out for you.

No, we can't agree.

Yes, football season is not ideal for weddings, but there is never an ideal time y'all won't bitch about. Summer is too hot, spring has baseball, etc...if you can't miss a game for a siblings wedding you are a crap family member.

Travel ball is actually worse bc there's no tournaments you absolutely positively cannot miss. No world series matters that much

Also a team's record should play a role. If you're 7-0, you're not going to a wedding, but you shouldn't go to the game if they're 1-7 either.

Not if you're indoors.

spring has baseball

Most youth baseball is played in the summer and scholastic baseball doesn't have NEAR the commitment of high school football with all of the band and cheerleaders. Also, they play so many games that it is far easier to be excused from one baseball game to attend a wedding than it is to be excused from a football game.

If my kid ends up playing college football, I would almost certainly go to his game over a wedding.

If he's in the band, not so much.

Obviously there are a lot of other factors involved. Where is the wedding? Who is getting married? How close are we? Is my kid even going to play?

So by your logic:

Brother playing varsity football < family member/sibling wedding (regardless of location)?

Damn. That's cold blooded.

IF you schedule a wedding during a time you know your brother would even have to consider choosong between his team & your wedding = you are a C U Next Tuesday of the HIGHEST order.

I can guarantee you that if you are a varsity HS baseball player & miss a game for ANy wedding = CUT from the team or at the very least, you aren't playing any significant time the rest of the season. No self respecting varsity baseball (4A-6A most definitely) coach would allow that nonsense. Anything below = no one cares.

We're talking about a factor of a wedding ONLY.

What wedding factor, let alone DOZENS, are there to consider?

Wait, now we're talking about a player skipping the game? I thought we were talking about a parent missing their kid's game?

Make up your fricking mind.

Well, you're child isn't going to be the MVP, neither is mine. Everyone can miss the game. Good food and free alcohol >>>> hotdogs and concession cokes.
