When it comes to groupies, golf pros are like f*cking rock stars. I remember hearing rumors about Fred Couples back in the 80s. It was like they were talking about David Lee Roth or Axel Rose.
The ladies love Freddie "Boom Boom" Couples cause he's so long and smooth.

Instead of that fake apology that broke his spirit and started his decline, they should have had him embrace being the Bad Boy of Golf. Change his signature Sunday red to all black and let him party and frick his way around the tour

You’re looking at history thru the present day lens and with todays perspective. I doubt your suggested approach would have flown back at that Time.

I realize this is probably a tabloid piece. Or worse, The Daily Mail. But I fail to see why any of this is even noteworthy aside from trying to embarrass Faldo.

I said it the day that it happened. And I think it would have been much more successful then than now. You are implying that we get away with more now? Between Woke, Trans and LGBTQIAWXYZ+ and Progressives there is no way saying "I love being a rich Hetero golfer flies these days.

But she hasn't made people as much money as Tiger has.

She sounds more like John Daly's type.

No one gives a shite now about a celebrity’s philandering. It wasn’t the same when his dalliances were made public. Going full rogue at That time might have been more liberating, but it would’ve hurt his financial career IMO.

By all accounts Nick can be “difficult” to be around. He had a caddy who was probably the only person that could stand him.

He’s good on the air for the most part and probably will land somewhere else once he gets bored.

This is correct. Music producers were afraid of green lighting any songs with risque lyrics at this time. I doubt corporate America would've been lining up behind a sex and drug fueled Tiger

Now everybody should now know why Couples had bad back issues that pretty much derailed his career. It certainly wasn't his easy swing that's for sure.

"difficult"

As a player he was. He kinda admitted on air the last few years. He had a very singular purpose, extremely focused and chatted very little as a player.

I find him very relaxed in the booth, and it surprised me at first, but his quirky sense of humor and analysis is, was pretty good.

That does not make him difficult. Being quiet and to yourself does not make you difficult to be around. Being a rude a-hole would make you difficult to be around. Curtis Strange is difficult to be around.
