As a grown man, I've never outgrown wanting to race or fly remote control cars, helicopters or planes (never boats).

$799 is steep for me, because I can see myself destroying this quickly, as I have no experience controlling one of these things in the last 25 years.

Definitely get a Taranis radio and try out the DRL racing simulator online.

Flying these things in acro mode is a lot harder than it looks.

I have a couple cheap drones that I fly around in front of the house, but I really want a higher end one that has a decent range to it. Saw one fly over my house yesterday and now i want one even more.

I got a Parrot for Christmas and it's not super expensive and has a nice 1080p 30 frame per second camera. It's surprisingly good and rock solid steady for the most part.

With the sky controller it's range is up to 1.4 miles with no obstructions.

Including the controller the Bebop is only about 300.00

Now, they have other more expensive drones but the Bebop is very reasonable IMO.

No, its hard enough keeping that thing stable inside with no wind. On second thought, having more space to operate in would be nice, I think I might take her for a spin outside tonight.

I was at CES and saw them. They are really badass but I can't imagine a scenario where I'd buy one.

the Beebop is $300 and the sky controller is another $300

The beebop does not come with a controller. You fly it with your smartphone app which sucks.

I got this several weeks ago. Says factory refurb but i couldn't find one part on it that wasn't new.I already had a GoPro so i was good to go.
$279.00

Controller has built in tablet screen.

Can you look straight down?

Would be neat to scout redfish holes.

I don't think you can with this particular model, but I saw a ton of drones at CES equipped with 360 degree cameras.
