Fake profiles to stalk people

During halftime of the game, I went inside where all the women were. They didn't see or hear me in the utility room apparently.
They were all gathered in the kitchen talking about having fake profiles on different social media sites just to be able to stalk their significant others. Two of them openly admitted to stalking their exes.
How pathetic is this, that someone would have nothing more going on in their lives other than to make up a fake account and stalk people?

The wives can save a lot of time and money, by setting up a hot chick fake profile. Then... IMing their spouse to hook up and see if bait is taken.

I've heard of people doing this on dating sites just to try and find people they know are single and get a good laugh at their profile at the poor souls expense. Pretty sad. Was at a friends house once and a few people were doing it on match and searching for people they knew or worked with that were single. I thought it was pathetic.

I don't think it is pathetic.
And shows they're insecure and a little crazy.
