That’s the beauty of being a fanboy I guess. You can spin a catastrophic performance into a vote of confidence.

What am I a fan boy about? You think they were knocked down a peg. I showed they quite obviously were not.

Facebook seems like it would be one of the least volatile companies out there. Seriously how would their advertising revenue change that much?

I’m trying to see yours as anything other than a fanboy argument and I can’t. We are talking about market value, right ? And your message to investors is - no big deal- down 20% , we are still a monster ?

And FTR, my comment referred to hubris. I mean, that’s a non-ideological observation. You really can’t see how Zuckerburg and FB have relentlessly screwed the pooch this year? It’s been one stumble after another . Too big to fail. Institutional arrogance. Hubris.

All of you stupid motherfukers with Facebook accounts should be asking Zuckerberg about his profit sharing plan. he made his billions off selling your information. Facebook and the other data miners need to all die.

I mean, yeah. They're back to where they were in May. They're still one of the best performers in the S&P over the past few years. It's also only one day. It's a terrible day, no doubt, and maybe it's the beginning of the end as many here believe. However, it's far more likely to be a blip in the grand scheme.

I don't think Zuckerberg was knocked down today. He's been humbled over the past few months though. Today was just a number that he's know they'd post for a while.

Perhaps I misunderstood your comment to be a quantitative thing.

They actually beat estimates on their earnings.

However, their forward looking guidance didn't show as much growth as previous guidance. They're know for being conservative with their estimates, but it still shocked many analysts.

Until another advertising medium can drive the type of ROI that FB advertising delivers, I believe in the long-term viability of the firm. More specifically, the purchase of Instagram gives FB the younger demographic. I am less bullish on Facebook as the demographics are going to age up overtime as youth just don’t prefer the platform. Owning Instagram is the key to FB’s longer term future. They need to continuously acquire the next rest platform that competes for eyeballs.

I have 1000 shares of FB that I have held since it was an IPO. Lost $41,000 today but still up over $135,000.

If losing 119 billion dollars is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

I used to get on every other day if not everyday.

Haven't been on in 3 months. I'm sure tigerdroppings has been killing it though.

Actually since they have taken over Instagram it has went down and people are leaving it looking for other platforms to use. Facebook kills whatever they buy.

Yeah, they're the 5th largest public company in the world because they kill everything they touch.

, I mean, come on people. I dislike their political censorship too, but I'm not going to just make shite up about them.
