Those platforms are actively involved in social engineering.
I never understood Trumps use of Twitter. It was the one thing I hated about his term. He just set himself up so damn many times.

Like it or not...FB and Twitter are private companies and can do whatever they want in determining who does/doesn't use their platforms.
I'm aware...I literally just argued that

I could have told you because they've been doing it in Canada and Europe under the same guise of equality and social justice.

Only way he felt he could get his message out.

That's the reason I posted to you, we agreed on that point

I thought most of you were all about private companies being able to do what they wanted?
The issue is that they're extremely influential in their control of information and they never apply their TOS equally. The biggest gripe people have is that they silence one side and not the other so their site basically turns into a giant propaganda machine that influences society on an extremely large scale.

The most racist news network ever

His use of Twitter was to get his message out directly through to the people rather than have it run through the filter of the media. It was his most valuable tool and probably the thing that hurt him the most as well. He was able to exploit the fact that he couldn't get banned and he was smart to do it.

Yeah
I can believe that private companies can and should have the right to censor whoever they please, and also acknowledge that having massive information monopolies is a terrible thing for society
my default is that allowing society itself to fix this issue is the best course, but I doubt many would agree because there will probably be some big bumps along the way

Should be a huge red flag right there. Using a very twisted platform to get your message out in under 280 characters is a terrible strategy.
He had a few friends in the media he could have used as a mouthpiece. Twitter? Thats just dumb. In the end, this was his undoing.

The government getting involved surely won't fix anything, they're in on it right now too

Which friends? All but Foix News gave him anything resembling a fair shake, and even they gt in on the globalist agenda the last year.

That JRE with Tim Pool, Dorsey, and his lawyer was pretty eye opening. The top people at Twitter know they're accountable to no one and will do what they please with impunity and they don't really care who knows it because they know they're made men.

No, he didn't.
He had one or two people on Fox News. Everyone else that was kissing his arse and hanging out with him the previous 25 years all of a sudden had to act as if they hated him.
It was the best and most direct route to get his message out so he used it.

Yep.
But he chose Twitter.
Its been my biggest knock on him since he took office. What did he think would happen? I don't think he thought it through.
Twitter is the poorest of poor way to get your message out.

I think Youtube is going to see the largest transformation.
100% this. It has already started happening. When you account for the large amount of Conservative voices on that platform, it is a huge target. However, it will be a bit like YouTube cutting off its nose to spite its face with the fact that alot of those content creators are major drivers of ad revenue with big followings.
Just yesterday livestreams from the protests were being whacked left and right. Not even just streams from people on the ground, but streams of news coverage and other type things were taken down. That is china-like suppression, and should be worrisome to everyone.
