Facebook $40.67 Zelle Deposit. Y’all Get This?

This morning I got a text from Zelle saying they are depositing $40.67 into my account from some sort of Facebook tracking settlement. Assumed it was some fake shite but the text was from the same number I get from all transactions and checked the account and it was in there. Any of y’all get this and know what it’s about?

No. But I’d probably ignore it in case a scam. I’ve heard of a zelle scam but don’t recall exactly. If it sits there in a month or so, enjoy.

It’s fake bro, don’t click the link. They’ll probably ask for your bank information to complete the transaction or have you log into a fake website that looks like Zelle

Don’t have Facebook. I’m an adult.

I'm donating my settlement amount, if any, to Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, in continuation of my steadfast and lifelong familial commitment to helping the needy.
Amen.
Amen.

That was us. It’s legit. You just need to mail back a check for $20 for a processing fee.

not even close - and it has nothing to do with Facebook

Why would Zelle specifically (as opposed to Facebook or whoever is representing them) be the one notifying you?
The majority of scams can be identified by just asking some basic questions and noticing that that there aren’t any logical answers.

Nope. It was my bank and Zelle sending me the text. Like I said it was the same text thread if legit transactions and there was no link. It’s literally in my bank account.

Maybe the scammer screwed up. We all make mistakes.

But first you have to send Hadji $200.00, then he will send you $40.67.

If it came from the same text number as your past notifications with Zelle and is in your account then it’s legit.
There’s a class action online for this exact thing. Did you not file a settlement claim?

Did you get the money in your account? If not, its a scam.

I don’t really remember much about a settlement but I guess I did.
