Are those people "in the higher education community" legally retarded?
Unless you're traveling without a proper visa as a noncitzen from a terrorist embedding country from a specific list of 7 countries that was formed under the Obama administration then you have no problem.
America shouldn't be open at all times to all people no matter what without vetting. No country in the history of Earth had functioned that way.

directly affected, you are probably right, but a lot of the international community (including legal immigrants that are attending LSU) have friends/relatives that are affected and have feelings about this legislation. I'm all for outrage against F. King but this is kind of his job.

LoL. The Press Secretary ripped the media a new butt hole yesterday in his weekly briefing when someone said this EO was "unconstitutional". He said "unconstitutional to who? because it applies to NON-citizens and they don't have rights under our Constitution. You guys do understand that coming into the US is a privilege and not a right?" There was like 15 seconds of silence in the room. I laughed my butt off.

judging by the international outrage (hell, even Canada is bitching about it) its safe to say a lot of people care about this, regardless if I do or don't. To act like that isn't true is just to be willfully ignorant.
