Do you have any opinions on foreign airframes? Eurofighters, Sukhois, Migs, etc?

Also the pilots of other nations

I did some work with the Aggressor Squadron over a Nellis including a ton of intel briefings, but my knowledge of Su- and MiGs is limited to intel and aggressor simulation training. The only time I had any interaction with real MiGs was a short time with the Germans. Not impressed with its avionics. Heavily GCI dependent. Really not impressed with any Russian airframes, although there is a certain romanticism with them. They're trying to update their tactics and training with limited success.

I love love love the GR4 Tornado. Simple air-frame, but a beast that can do just about anything. If the F-16 and A-10 had a baby, it'd be the Tornado.

People will probably laugh, but the most professional pilots I ever worked with were the Taiwanese. Highly intelligent, very adaptable, and they valued others' opinions. Had no problem listen to what I offered them, then immediately employing it. American pilots are rightfully cocky, but sometimes it gets in the way when they think they have it all figured out and derp something up.

I also liked South Korean pilots. Some of them flying those old F-5s were salty AF...so old school in manner and tactics. It works for them. Really liked the German pilots, too. They're highly adaptable...they fly a bunch of different aircraft from the east and west.

Sounds to me like he obvious choice is the Tomcat.

I mean if I have the choice between the muscle car and then mini van, I'll take the muscle car. For obvious reasons.

Yes they are. This clip is still tGOAT. Amazing story of how an Israeli F-15 driver got his wounded bird back home safely.

Huh? AIM-54s were about 4 meters long. That's 13 feet.

Ask away I guess

I got some old pics of Russian Tu-95s a flight of F-15s I was working with intercepted years ago. If I can find them, I'll post and scan them. When the pilots gave me the pics, they signed one of them, "Thinking of You, Ivan"
