Very few actually “deny” climate change.

It is a fact. There have been multiple ice ages, and for them to end there had to be periods of warming. And for an ice age to start there had to periods of cooling.

These are all part of changing weather/climate patterns that take place over extreme time periods.

What “climate change deniers” take issue with is the fact that many on the left and many globalist try to paint climate change as some new man made phenomena with very little data to support such claims. Then use these faulty conclusions to emement policies that do nothing but harm hard working people and accomplish nothing substantial.

It’s just politicized science based on incomplete data, poorly constructed research models and on many cases conclusion that are almost exactly the opposite of what the data even shows.

Scientists don't agree and often lie with agenda driven "science."

Also they can't predict tomorrow's weather accurately but I'm supposed take their 100 year predictions as gospel?

Im no doom and gloom guy but if your saying the weather hasn't changed in the world over the last 50 years your in denial.

Of course it has. It's changed the last 50,100,1000,10000, etc.

It did long before humans and will long after we are gone.

Theres no assuming. Tons of data to prove it happening

just like its done countless times since the planet formed

Sure its done it countless times in the past but according to the scientist data. This is now happening in decades not centuries like the previous instances. Just
amazed at how many people wont even acknowledge something is happening

Yeah and i bet two weeks after that snow it could have been 80 degrees in Feb. You couldn't have said that 20 years ago. You can stick you head in the sand all you want but climate change is happening. The next 50 years will be interesting weather wise.

Why does everyone sit here in denial?? Im no save the earth pumper but the evidence is there plain as day. Every year its getting hotter. I dont know the causes, Fracking included, but its happening. I mean parts of the country are in the 100's that are never in the 100's . Some places barely have winter anymore. I believe the OP is pointing this out.

NO ONE IS DENYING IT.

There were long periods of extreme global warming AND cooling long before Homo sapiens were even a species.

The earths is hundreds and hundreds of millions of year old. You honk in all that time there hasn’t been some 10-20-100 year periods with really fricking hot summers?

If we are ever going to advance as a species we are going to have to learn to accept it does change, what causes it (it could be partly due to us fwiw) and manage it.

If you study the The Kardashev scale you will see we have to advance to the point that we can control the climate.

This is how I look at it 29% of planet is covered by land - 3% of the land is occupied urban areas...another 40% by agriculture areas..we aren't moving a needle

That’s a good point but still nowhere close to comparable. Human existence on this planet is an extremely new phenomenon. Look up geological time vs human existence. Then consider that we have only been industrialized for an even smaller amount of time. Even at the rate human pollute the air, if one major volcano erupts, it would spew more CO2 and other poison gases into the air than all of mankind for our entire history.

Are there steps we should take to lessen our impact? Yes
Do I think we should take these steps where we can? Absolutely, I drive a hybrid, have solar panels on my house, and rarely use single use plastics.
All that being said, mankind’s impact on our climate is minimal.

The hottest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Baton Rouge is 110 degrees, which occurred on August 19, 1909.

The record broken was from 1925, when CO2 levels were a lot LOWER than they are today.

So, if there is a causal link, shouldn't that record have continued to steadily climb since 1925?

It could have been..yes, but it wasn't. The average temp in February was 59 degrees.

ETA: It only reached 80 degrees three days in March.

The record high in Feb for B’ham came in 1996. For March it came in 1907. And if you look at the actual numbers, you’ll see most record highs per month for B’ham came years ago. I’m fact, only August and November have record highs in recent years. And even those are over 10 years old. Most record highs came before any of us were even alive.

Religion Board

Human causation of climate change is based on Faith not on science. All the models are wrong. Take your weather religion somewhere else and do your dances, prayers to Al Gore, tithing, etc., elsewhere.

I'm not.

I am using all 92 years in between.
