Why not? You average in the 80s during July and August.

Seal Beach extends a couple miles inland. I'm literally one block from the ocean. It's usually upper 70s with a nice breeze where I'm at even in July and August. It's pretty common for homes in Old Town to not have AC. Plus I'm a renter. This current heat wave is very intense.

bullshite. I've been in 120, and it just felt like my skin was hot. I wasn't actually hot. I'd rather that than 95 here just after it rains

Maybe 110, not 120. I've been in 114 and about died. You don't have that smothering hot air around you but the sun is unbearable.

Mid 90's and humid is miserable though. Absolutely miserable.

I took a pic of my truck thermometer when I was in it. Lemme see if I can find it on my phone. Btw, my AC wasn't working that well at the time

Don't have the picture on my phone anymore, but it was in August of last year outside of El Centro, CA. I'll see if I have it on my other computer though

Never doubted you were in 120 deg weather. The "it wasn't that hot" is bullshite.

The air temperature was hot, yeah, but nowhere near as bad as South LA. I could feel it, but it didn't bother me

The record temp in August of 2015 for that city was 117. IIRC, that was a little East of the city. I was gonna chance making the next exit on fuel, but decided to turn around.

Not sure why I still have to prove yall wrong time and time again, but it's a PITA really. I didn't enjoy getting up to look at my computer, then my external hard drive, and then found it on my camera

You realize those are not that accurate.

Mine said 125 one time when I first got in my Jeep to go to the store.

Also...not doubting it was a high temp. We just think your claim that "oh it wasn't that hot" is total bullshite.

Esp 480 and I, who have personally dealt with high temps on a daily basis every summer of every single year.

It counts after 105. Usually anything up to 105 is fairly manageable

I've done plenty of desert hiking, mostly around Big Bend.

105 is manageable with zero humidity but anywhere between that and 125 means you are sweating vastly more than you know. Drink hearty.

125 is just brutal no matter what.
