Cool cool. Just leave some manure in the back. I'll add the beer cans and black and milds as we drive home putting the car on ebay

Also, if you think anyone is getting a base C8 for MSRP then you might want to actually call a dealership and ask.
Good friend of mine has put a deposit on a C8 and has it in writing from the dealership that they will not charge more than MSRP.
People who are putting down deposits and on waiting lists will get them for MSRP. The few that make it to the showroom floor will initially get a markup placed on them.

The last mile event I did the stock ZL1s were about 150 in the 1/2 and 170 in the full mile almost identical to a 911 Turbo S.
The Camaro platform gets squirrelly at about 160 so 200 will be a hell of a ride and better be perfect asphalt.

It was the coming-out party for Big Cheif and Azn. IIRC they had a Fox body.

Did you take place in the one last year at NOLA that ended tragically?

No, the last time I participated or viewed one was the Texas Mile in '17.

I like it but maintenance and repairs scares me.

Legitimate concern with a new platform. Always something crops up that is out of the realm of what seems possible.
Does the engine have to be pulled for a spark plug change?

I'd hope chevy engineered them in a way that basic, semi-routine maintenance items can be serviced without too much increased hassle.
Also, shout out to our camaro friend for showing up, challenging all the pussies in here to a race, and then leaving as soon as people said they wanted in on the action.

He knows that no one is going to Alabama to get a free Camero.

Those are for 2nd string tight ends.
Starting receivers get Challengers and Chargers.

Albeit subjective, the C8 is deadass ugly and a uninspired shape. Looks like it was designed by 3 guys that never met and at least 1 was Ray Charles
I bought a ‘19 Grand Sport (Sebring orange) a few months ago and was a bit worried that I’d regret it when the C8 was released, and I kept up with all the spy photos, renderings, etc. Was out of the country when they did the official release, but when we returned home and I pulled up in the driveway amd saw my C7 sitting there, I felt good about my decision.
The C8 just looks a little off to me - side vent too big, rear end too long, back too plain, etc. It’s like they were right on the cusp of greatness but dropped the ball on the 1 yard line. Just doesn’t feel like a Corvette, and I think it looks too exotic for a $60K base. I would have preferred a regular Vette and then a mid-engine supercar in the $150K range. Having something in that style for $60K base kind of has a kit car feel too it - like a Bradley GT back in the late ‘70s or the various kit cars of the early ‘80s. Though the performance level for that price is unmatched.
