Thought so.

Ain't no such thing as free pussy.

sexual slavery
Not many people talk about that. I understand the argument about legalization of prostitution on a basic level, but sexual slavery is a bigger deal than most people think. Nearly every asian massage place is just a front for a sexual slavery ring.

Government cannot find a way to tax drugs/ prostitution. If they really cared about our health cigs would be outlawed, but tobacco has many ties to the government keeping it legal.

Because if they were legal it might take some of the excitement out of coke and hoes?

LINK?
I don't believe this is true in the US. The call girls on Vegas look pretty happy.. .

Because the people who profit from it being illegal have no motivation to change it.
And because of that they are polically powerful.
You can make bank from investing in the Prisons industrial complex and sexual slavery (which is what most prostitutes are, they aren't the happy hooker like pretty woman's Julia Roberts).
Hit the nail on the head. Organized crime definitely doesn't want drugs legalized. Would destroy their business

Yep, just look what Pay-Day-Advance Places did to the loan sharking industry.
Just shameful.

Drugs create addicts. Addicts steal and commit crimes to get money and more drugs. Making drugs illegal results in fewer people using drugs, and fewer addicts who commit crimes.
Caffeine, tobacco, alcohol. All three are drugs that people become addicted to. Granted people aren't stealing to get these drugs, but still.

Expensive drugs cause people to steal. Cheap drugs cause people to pick up cans on the side of the road.
Some people say that's the origin of the term junkie -- they collected scrap metal to support their habits before cocaine and opium became illegal.

Awful logic. By arresting people and throwing them in jail, you are giving them every day access to hardcore criminals, ergo basically sending them to criminal college on the taxpayer dime when they could be out working to pay for their habit.
But still committing crimes because they're addicts.
Did you seriously say "awful logic"?

Alcohol probably gets more people arrested than all the other drugs combined.

I probably am biased because i'm in college, but i think weed would be even less than alcohol.
There are dozens of smokers within a few hundred yards of me, and i bet not one has been caught by the law.
eta: i am friends with only 2 people who have a marijuana charge and dozens with MIPs, DUIs, etc.

I feel like we're talking apples to rhinoceroses.
FWIW, if we're talking pot, that's a different story than other drugs where being an "addict" is a much bigger deal.
2nd FWIW, I don't even know anyone who smokes pot. I wouldn't mind it myself here and there but have no hook up.

Oh it is; weed is definitely in its own category imo.

Alcohol is the deadliest drug there is. It kills more people directly and indirectly per year than the harder drugs.
Have you ever heard of someone dying from a pot overdose?
