Weed can be legal. But drugs and prostitution no

Prostitution yes but hard drugs need to stay illegal. Take a drive through any urban area and see what unrestricted drug use looks like.

They should not be illegal.
Government cannot limit individual exercising their own rights without eventually getting power hungry and ruining everyone’s lives.
Same goes for gun control.
My only exception for government intervention is for things that immediately harm others like pedophiles, murder, etc.

San Francisco. It’s been shown time and again with real-world examples that the more lenient a place is with their drug laws, there is an increase in undesirable behavior.
Plus, a healthy society should do whatever it can to ensure their citizens are not addicted to drugs. It’s terrible for society. It’s terrible for families. It’s terrible for the individual. Not just bad like eating a Big Mac is bad. But it ruins lives and ruins society.
We should be a lot more harsh on drug dealers and drug smugglers. But the politicians don’t have the stomach for getting serious.

You do realize that when drug heads are high they do things like murder, raper…etc…right? Doing drugs isn’t a right in this country. Like a previous poster said, you want that right, go somewhere else. You don’t want it illegal except for when things harm others, literally drugs harm you and others. It can’t be any more black and white

What are we talking here?
The worst drug on the street currently is used in medical settings.

Yeah Portugal is seeing an addiction problem. They made a mistake.
quote:
PORTO, Portugal — Addiction haunts the recesses of this ancient port city, as people with gaunt, clumsy hands lift crack pipes to lips, syringes to veins. Authorities are sealing off warren-like alleyways with iron bars and fencing in parks to halt the spread of encampments.
quote:
Portugal decriminalized all drug use, including marijuana, cocaine and heroin, in an experiment that inspired similar efforts elsewhere, but now police are blaming a spike in the number of people who use drugs for a rise in crime. In one neighborhood, state-issued paraphernalia — powder-blue syringe caps, packets of citric acid for diluting heroin — litters sidewalks outside an elementary school.

when they could be out working to pay for their habit.
It doesn’t work that way.
They don’t work, encampments grow and so does the sector of government helping them.
