Why do people say this? You have either not done coke or you have not taken addy. Coke scatters your brain, and Adderall makes you focus. Not saying it's not bad, but this is a lazy comparison.
I have not done Addy. Does it make you lick your lips, talk too much, empty your bowels, and lower your sexual standards, and need more in 30 minutes?

It's pure speed.
If by that you mean methamphetamine, adderall is not pure speed, although they are essentially chemical cousins.
The extra methyl group added to amphetamine makes meth much more potent and significantly increases the duration of its effects.

As someone who used it in college it’s pure speed that makes you focus like a madman. It can also make you irritable. I would not go down this path at 45 yrs old.

I know a few guys who are really struggling because they can no longer function acceptably without it.
Function how? Are they vegetables? Or just how they were without taking it?

Legal meth.
Inaccurate, see my post above.

It’s meth in a pill form. Not cocaine

I still have yet to hear one harmful side effect.
If wherever you are reading says there are no harmful side effects of meth/amphetamines, then it will also tell you there are no harmful side effects to cocaine, PCP, and heroin.
Go for it

For some yes and those are all probably listed side effects... But the feeling when taking one vs. the other is very different.

I've also thought about trying it, but have heard several horror stories from friends/coworkers. As someone else mentioned, they had a hard time functioning without it.

Took it for study sessions in college. Would study for 12 hours straight but the come down is terrible. Also had to force myself to eat when on it.

Excessive sweating, hypertension, irritability, small bowel hypermotility, dehydration, psychosis in really large doses... there are plenty of side effects of adderall, easily searchable.

Granted, I’m not a fan of getting into drug use in my 40s, but convince me why I shouldn’t take a couple pills if I’m trying to get through a big project or crisis situation at work.
My suggestion? Try to motivate yourself to start those tasks and then take the adderall. Start small and it will help you focus, but if you aren't properly motivated to begin with, you might find yourself focusing on the "wrong" task. Before you know it, 2 hours have passed and all you've accomplished is alphabetizing your wardrobe...

So is there and withdrawals when not taking? Are they any more extreme than legal stimulants?
Yes but they are largely reduced and sometimes eliminated by not taking it on consecutive days, not taking large doses, eating a good meal before and hydrating frequently. Typical issues for a short term user would be hypersomnia, irritability and just feeling "blah" for a day or so.
You'll be short on dopamine for some time. Exercise, hydration and eating properly will put you back to normal in a pretty short time.

Meth is made in pill form and they are not the same thing.

All I can tell you is that with the shortage, I know someone that can’t get it filled. Coming off it was absolutely hell. They’re just about over the withdrawals and I’m trying to convince them to stay off. So I would say a harm is horrible withdrawals.

Adderall users, please chime in. Convince me not to go down this path...GO!
Once your supply of "legal" Adderall pills is exhausted, you will end up sucking cock for meth. Its a slippery slope.

Hell how? Again, generalized statements. Please provide details.

lot of posters are probably full of shite, that's why you're going to get generic statements or stuff that is completely, 100% subjective.
Vyvanse is better. Expensive though, but the patent expires in 2023 so next year you'll see generics.
worst side effects by far are limp dick and weight loss. Unless you're an overweight or fat frick in which case you definitely should take it.
knew a fatty with high blood pressure who got on it and lost a ton of weight, had normal blood pressure after. if true probably probably extended his life by 10+ years.
for some people they have to sort of 'retrain' themselves to do the tasks they were doing before since it will be more time consuming if you can't zero in on it. But that's not the medication's fault.

It’s legal meth basically
Posted on 10/23/22 at 5:47 pm to BabyTac
Feeling nauseous, sleeping constantly, extreme irritability, huge mood swings, depression, lack of all motivation. I can probably go on. And it’s very real.
