Yes, many of the stories are clearly fake. That was essentially the opposite of the famous story I have seen posted here and in comment sections on mainstream websites about the attractive guy who tells his chubby girlfriend that he wants an open relationship and watches as his chubby girlfriend goes on dates with all kinds of dudes while he has to stay at home.

Yep, that’s called a life boat. When a woman finds a safe, reliable provider type that’s smitten with her, she knows she doesn’t have to do much to keep him around. So, she can pursue relationships with men she’s attracted to knowing that guy will be there once she needs a provider for kids because she can’t skate by on looks anymore.

Once you understand that the only logic motivating that statement is the desire of the woman to spare you embarrassment and pain, and to prevent you from getting angry or violent towards her, then the compliments and flowery language used during a rejection makes perfect sense.

They aren’t lookers. Most “ugly” can go by the wayside if you have some other personality traits that overshadow it.
Learn to tell jokes, to be a good storyteller. When I go out that’s one of the things I do. I tell jokes, and I tell them well. Making people laugh has a disarming quality.
If you have any kind of voice (and women love a good voice from my experience), do karaoke or something. You have to have some talent that is attractive to women. Cultivate it.
If you aren’t willing to work on it then how can you expect them to see your value?
