Is it oversimplified to say that internet porn is fulfilling a need that was previously only satisfied by physical contact?
I’m not saying guys have just now started jerking it but the variety and availability has never been so simple.

i can get into much more detail, but it's feminism

the issue is that ugly and shitty women can sill get laid and that's frustrating as hell
But ugly and shitty men get laid all the fricking time too. The difference between them and incels is that incels typically won't settle for someone on their level of ugliness and shittiness.

now you're creating a straw man here
I'm basing this off their own attitudes displayed on r/incels and r/braincels.

For Richer, Not Poorer: Marriage and the Growing Class Divide
quote:
In the 1950s, marriage rates didn't vary much among men with different levels of education, while educated women were less likely to get married than non-educated women.
Since then, marriage rates have declined much more steeply for Americans of both genders with less education.
quote:
Many couples, particularly those who have achieved a lower level of education, also are choosing simply to live together instead of getting married, and those unions are less likely to end in marriage compared to cohabitations among Americans with a college degree, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

How Did Marriage Become a Mark of Privilege?
quote:
Marriage, which used to be the default way to form a family in the United States, regardless of income or education, has become yet another part of American life reserved for those who are most privileged.
Fewer Americans are marrying over all, and whether they do so is more tied to socioeconomic status than ever before. In recent years, marriage has sharply declined among people without college degrees, while staying steady among college graduates with higher incomes.
Currently, 26 percent of poor adults, 39 percent of working-class adults and 56 percent of middle- and upper-class adults ages 18 to 55 are married, according to a research brief published from two think tanks, the American Enterprise Institute and Opportunity America.
quote:
Americans across the income spectrum still highly value marriage, sociologists have found. But while it used to be a marker of adulthood, now it is something more wait to do until the other pieces of adulthood are in place — especially financial stability. For people with less education and lower earnings, that might never happen.
College graduates are more likely to plot their lives methodically — vetting people they date until they’re sure they want to move in with them, and using birth control to delay childbirth until their careers are underway.
Less educated people are more likely to move in with boyfriends or girlfriends in a matter of months, and to get pregnant at a younger age and before marriage. This can make financial and family stability harder to achieve later on.

This I can believe. I have a guy who works for me who is a dumpy little slob, and he has a fat-arse girlfriend. They are both happy as can be. There is a seat for every arse.

no but that's a variable for sure

Our welfare and entitlement system punishes marriage and rewards out-of-wedlock births, so marriage rates dropping among the poor is not surprising.

it's beyond that now. it's a cultural thing
have you listened to the freakanomics episode on this? the FN guys are liberal and were so uncomfortable

I love watching progressives actually having to swallow facts. It bothers them so much because it just pummels their worldview to dust.

I wouldn’t call this exactly settling but realized his relationship value and dated within his physical and likely educational pool.

the thing about that episode wasn't that it was about the class divide, the contributor did a study disproving the "productive male" hypothesis. when they could explain the difference via income inequality (arguing that poor people marry less b/c fewer men were employed due to our current economy/capitalism), it was a safe topic. when the data showed that this wasn't a real argument, it got uncomfortable as hell

Jesus, dude. That was a joke and I’m not reading all of that.
Posted on 9/1/18 at 8:43 pm to Tester1216
summary: marriage is now a class signal and becomes a bigger one every day
Posted on 9/1/18 at 8:44 pm to SlowFlowPro
It’s cultural now, but it was learned from family who did it to take advantage of entitlements.
Big Gov took the place of daddy.
There are also many who are in a relationship, but not married also due to more entitlements.

it's more than that. lots of lower class culture is a direct and outward rejection of upper class culture
hence the incredibly stupid and outlier names they use

From browsing those boards, I notice their terms have a lot in common with the poliboard. Cuck, beta, etc.
