Sure, spring and fall are great too. The only thing is you typically get that awkward temp change right at dusk.. You know, it will be 75-80 during the day and when the sun goes down, all of a sudden it's 55-60 and chilly. I hate that.

That's one of the best parts to me

Still warm enough for shorts, but maybe with a golf pull over. No mosquitoes, nice cocktail while I grill without breaking a sweat, etc.

If you live up North, it's the best weather of the year.

Why are kids in the South out of school for the hottest three damn months of the year?

I wish Southern states would switch the school break months to October, November, and December.
School break vacations would be much better.

It's f'ing miserable going to the beach in July - go to the beach early morning, hide in the A/C from 10:00-6:00, then go back to the beach for a few hours before sunset.

Nothing worse than throwing on some jeans on early in the morning and then wishing you were naked by noon.

Don't you enjoy a nice, crisp fall morning while smoking a brisket or Boston butt and drinking a variety of different beers? Oh yeah, and while football is on all over the tube?

More daylight in the evenings, water sports and boating. Beach and tan lines.

WTF?

I am not a fan of extreme heat, but I can handle a whole day at the beach in it without issue.

Summer in the South sucks. People in the South who like the summer are weirdos.

Short days suck, but winter in the south is pretty pleasant IMO. Don't mind it at all.

Huge selling point of summer. I typically have a lot to do when I get home so this is important to me.

For those of you that love the summer months, can you please explain the appeal of it?

The highs I've seen for the upcoming weekend are 102 degrees. That's fricking miserable to me. We are planning on going to a backyard BBQ for the 4th. Quite honestly, I don't want to sit outside in this insufferable heat and eat a bunch of heavy BBQ.

Summer is easily the worst season of the year. How can anyone in the Southern US can enjoy it is beyond me. What's the appeal? Sit out by the pool and just bake? Swim in a hot river or lake?

These is absolutely nothing appealing about the summer to me. I can't stand hot weather. Ugh

There's no point of even showering until you're positive you're going to be in AC for the duration of the day.

I mean I like to wear shorts and sandals if it makes sense too. If you get stuck in shorts and sandals when it's 50-55 your arse going to be uncomfortably cold. Or maybe that's just me. Also I hate pants, so I'm sure as not going to be caught in 80+ degree temps in pants.

Then don't.

I'm sure it's already been said, but I would rather 100 degrees over 10 degrees and having to shovel snow daily.

If you don't like the heat, maybe you should move to a more temperate climate that suits your lifestyle/choices better.

I have no problem hanging on the beach all day.

Try dragging a wife and a handful of kids out on the beach for a whole day.

You hate summer because your winters are pretty much nonexistent.
