did he teach at Catholic high around 90-94?

He was the AP at Catholic from 89-04. He was at Brother Martin for a few years before that.

That was where the self-presumed Billy Badasses of BR that were really Danny Dumbasses went when they got expelled.

This is an old outdated moniker. Stanislaus has worked very hard to establish a positive reputation and had a very very low tolerance for misbehavior.

Well, 25-30 years ago, it was where kids who weren’t that bad, but maybe fricked up a little, and got kicked out of a school, got sent. There they learned and worked together to be really really bad.

I know a few graduates and they are all really good guys. All from New Orleans and just didn’t fit their freshman year in high school here. All started there as sophomores and boarded.

Brother Malcolm taught me at Catholic. Favorite teacher of all time. Taught Jimmy Buffet at McGill Toolen in Mobile. Brother Malcolm stories deserve their own thread. Thanks for that memory jog, baw!

They got a Hiesman Trophy.
Different school than it was in the 80s-90s. Lots more people living on the coast and sending kids there. Friend of mine’s son went there and was a national merit semi finalist, offered full ride to a few colleges.

Went there 9th - Graduation. It’s a great school, and the kid will have a blast. He will think it’s punishment until he starts making friends and gets involved in activities. Even when I was there in the 90s, they didn’t put up with a lot of shite. You would be surprised how easy it is/was to get kicked out.

It’s a tight alumni group bc we lived together for four years of high school. Unless you are a complete D’bag you end up with what amounts to 40 to 80 brothers to experience high school with. Not something that fades away like regular high school. You truly get to see each other at your best and worst 24/7 for 5 days a week. You don’t get the same experience at a day school.

Had Bro Malcolm for chemistry, legit could write a book of Bro Malcolm stories.

I can only recall one guy that went there and we were close friends for a while. He was and is a very sharp guy, upper crust career, family man, etc. Will probably run for state office one day.

Spent freshmen year there. I’m sure it’s softer now but back then the boarders didn’t really mingle much with the day students. We used to all go smoke cigarettes on the porch of bay sweets and fight behind the gym which usually had everyone writing lines when busted. I don’t really remember much about the school other than this weird goth kid doing a project on the bone thugs crossroads song which ended up with him singing the entire song acapella in front of the whole class.

If brother Eduardo is still alive get your kid to break one of his puzzles for me
