Who says...

As a person old enough to be more aware of the robber Barron era in US history I see striking similarities to China today. Go two or three generations from that era and the US enters is most economic power on the global stage as wealth is transferred from a few robber barons to a real creation of the middle class in the US. China has far too many people to not think some wealth redistribution will occur to keep the "have nots" from rising up to kill off the "have way too damn much"

As a Millennial who has great disdain for my generation, please STFU. You're making us look way better than we actually are by comparison.

I was literally just about to post that you were about to respond with some bullshite about getting a discount everywhere you go.

I don’t get a discount everywhere I go, but I’ve paid cash for a few big purchases (engagement ring, new roof, furniture) and received “deals” because of that.

That is the only time that I use cash though.

I wish I was at 665. My score was in the 800s. Then divorce happened...

Yes, the reduction of Americans bartering with cash is exactly the reason China’s economy has exploded over the last three decades.

Credit cards may offer good benefits but they aren't always the "best deal" if you end up carrying a balance.

Passion is good, it’s required to be successful
People who have it and control it can transcend success to reach significance
Don’t ditch the passion, grow your ability to control it
Hang in there, it gets better as you age

This discussion was predicated on never carrying a balance. One of the only things dumber with not using credit for your transactions is carrying a monthly balance.

Well that’s why the avg is 700ish. If you are smart and don’t carry a balance month to month because you don’t spend above your means, it’s much better to get the rewards.

If I pay you 100 cash for a good, you get 100

If I pay you 100 credit for a good, you get say 95 to 98 dollars and the credit card company gets the rest.

No shite Sherlock, but you still get 1-5% back depending on the card and purchase.
