I don't think you're grasping the fact that the cash buyer is paying the exact same price as a CC buyer.

Cash has no transaction cost

Checks have near zero transaction costs

Neither method generates annuity returns to a very limited corporate sphere.

And regardless of what I do personally, the transaction costs of credit cards will be absorbed by the merchant and passed to 100% of consumers regardless of their method of payment in 99 out of 100 cases.

So, this being reality, it’s foolish not to take advantage of credit card benefit systems m.

Exactly. And the credit card fees raise prices for everyone equally unless the place has cash prices.

Correct. Which means that cash payers are also paying for credit card transaction fees without getting the benefits that come with using credit - points, benefits, insurance etc.

Which means they are suckers.

I don't usually carry it but would like to more often. It's convenient to have sometimes.

My dad carries like 2-3k on him at all times. He doesn't want "the damn government to know what he spends his money on"

Yeah, it’s the people’s fault that saved your sorry arse from speaking Chinese, German , Japanese or Russian as your native tongue that you don’t have whatever opportunity you think your participation trophy entitles you to.
You want opportunities, go create them like everyone else had to.
This country is screwed if butthurt pansies like you take over after all the real men die off.

I used to get 10% to 20% back for paying cash or with a check.

You kids today are not near as smart as you think you are.

Stop ruining my argument with all your facts TH03
But yeah, you’re right I was a generation off
Point being, no one generation takes opportunity from another. Strong people thrive throughout history while the others bitch about why they aren’t

This you and I agree upon and celebrate. If you taught it to your children, like my parents taught me, and I hope to teach my children, the world will be all right
