I am not, the war in Ukraine is indeed not over and gas and food prices haven't moved.

It is interesting to see people point solely to "inflation" for the egg price issue specifically. There is reason to be concerned/angry over the current egg issue. Economic policy isn't that reason. Industrialized farming, and the continuing consolidation of agriculture under the umbrella of a few giant players, is the issue. Egg farms/houses are more at threat to stuff like this round of bird flu than ever before, and it isn't getting better or becoming less of an issue. Industrialized farming is a necessary evil, but we continue to consolidate every aspect of our food supply at a rapid pace. The stability of any country rides on its collective stomach. Giving up such control of food supply is a risky game to play.

The cheapest by far is wild game. If you hunt in the state you are a resident in and process the meat yourself the price per pound is extremely low for some of the healthiest, lowest fat, highest protein meat you can get.
