Time to get some back yard chickens.

Americans can continue to expect high prices for eggs this year, new estimates show, due to the ongoing avian flu outbreak and inflation.
Egg prices are estimated to increase about 20% in 2025, compared to about 2.2% for food prices in general, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s price outlook. Beef, coffee and orange juice are among groceries with higher prices, but eggs are uniquely impacted by the aggressive strain of avian flu, which has strained supply.
The average price of a dozen large, grade-A eggs was $4.15 in December, up from $3.65 in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Egg prices were also up more than 36% year-over-year in December, according to the Consumer Price Index.

Trump is working on a cure for that aggressive Avion bird flu. Should have something ready by this evening.

Eggs are still one of the cheapest proteins you can get.

Probably has to do with the 2 deadliest chicken fire farms ever over the last 8 months. One in Illinoise and one in NC that killed millions. Until we stop the deep state from doing these mass chicken murders, the prices will continue to go up.

Did you miss the part where the CIA admitted covid came from a lab. A lab funded by Fauci and the United States, well before Trump took office and against the law.
That’s what destroyed the economy and caused inflation. Don’t ever forget it.
No one will go to jail, no one will pay a fine. You will pay for your $10 dozen and not say a word.
But if you fail to itemize your taxes correctly you will have 87,000 IRS agents waiting to hunt you down and throw you in jail
TLDR…. frick the government

Prices shouldn’t go down. Just need to curb the hyperinflation you guys championed through policies such as the inflation reduction act

Liberals/democrats are idiots.

Wife and I garden a bit and decided on some chickens a couple of years ago. Good investment plus the pride of not being so dependent on others.

Egg prices have fluctuating widely over the last few years
*edit* Guess I am wrong in general. I do recall there was a huge jump in price for a few months and then a quick drop but definitely a steady increase far out pacing inflation. Thinking only Coke has surpassed eggs inflation prices.
Walmart great value 18 extra large.
Jan 25: $6.66
Dec 24: $5.87
July 24: $4.40
April 24: $3.04
Jan 24: $2.66
Oct 23: $2.30
May 23: $1.83

Any time I've been tempted, I remember the conversations I've had with people who have chickens who can never take longer vacations because they have to get back home to the chickens.
How do you juggle that?

Welcome to Trumps America. So glad he is focused on the real issues. He ran on the promise that he would lower grocery prices, and instead they’re still going up. Still waiting…..
