Did she leave you or did you leave her? If she left you was it with good reason? If you cheated on her and she came back, I'd probably celebrate with her today. If you caught her with a bbc and left her, she'll still probably want to celebrate but there's no way I would.

Either way it's probably a lose lose for you. Considering she lives with her, why don't you ask her if she wants to celebrate? Good communication is a good thing.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

This is a legit question, not just me trolling to pile on to your seemingly self-inflicted misery...

If you went through all the trouble and expense of an actual divorce, why on earth would you get back with this person?

I've never understood that and I'd appreciate you giving me at the least a half-assed explanation.

You were free, man! The divorce is the hard part. You were supposed to bang your way into oblivion...or so I've read on the OT.

It wasn't that hostile a divorce (to me anyway, the bailiff thought she'd stab me).

Kids were grown, no property settlement.

Oldest son got married, she showed up and we were back together the next day.

This just blows my mind on so many levels. She left you. Why in the name of God would you take someone back who walked out on you?

No cheating or anything bad - she got mad, some my fault, some her fault (as in most divorces) we just weren't getting along and it escalated. She sort of tried to hit me with her truck, then demanded a divorce so we got one.

You sure she didn't exactly try to hit you with her truck?
