No one believes fully auto weapons should be legal, no one believes you should have one of those huge two hand guns mounted in the back of a F150 like the cartels, no one believes an organization or individual should have grenades, nuclear bombs etc. So the real question is where do we draw the line? The absolutists argument falls short in this case(as in many cases), but as far as gun control, it’s more hypocritical and obvious.

There already is gun control.

Take guns from the criminals first, then we’ll talk.

I have no problem with either of those

What about the others? You believe in some form of regulation, or do you not?

So George Soros could move to the US and stockpile tanks and all kind of weapons for his agenda and you would have zero problem with that?

Ummmm, that's where you're wrong. Plenty of libertarians hold this view. I may put a limit on nukes and biological weapons... but that's where it ends. Yes, a private citizen should be able to own a tank or an F-15. You should be able to use chemical weapons on rodents.

So make a constitutional amendment banning the private distribution of nukes and biological weapons (including gain of function research and 3D printing of virus), but everything else in the 2nd Amendment stays. Technically there is no legal reason as it stands that you couldn't own either of those.

Nothing will absolutely, but we don’t live in a world of absolutes. What will end poverty? There is no one answer that will, but it’s not a matter of 1’s and 0’s, we are not computers, it’s about doing the best for the most amount of people.

I do, as do many others, so this statement is incorrect.

I am sure someone does, so again, your statement is incorrect.

Well, Joe basically said citizens would need F-15s and nukes to defeat the government, so this is worth a discussion

Everyone has a different tolerance for discomfort. A few school shootings every couple of years simply doesn’t move the discomfort needle for enough people.
Maybe some would change their minds at a school shooting every month. Others might say one a week is too much. For others, not even a school shooting every day in this country is enough to change their minds.
Im using hyperbole. But maybe your threshold is one school shooting a year. Your neighbor may not care at all

I believe that every citizen above the age of 18 should have an AR style rifle. Whether they choose to do so is up to them of course.

I have no problem with this at all. Two seems excessive to me, but whatever works for you.

Yeah. We should just leave those in the hands of our gov't. They do such a good job of using them only for defense and not causing pain and suffering all over the world with them.....

If it's in the inventory of our military, it should be also available to the general public. PERIOD.

shall not be infringed.

Truth is, they have been scaling gun rights down for 100 years of “compromise” moving in only 1 direction.

If leftists want any type of gun legislation, let’s hear what they are willing to “give up” in the compromise. Far too often any compromise is simply limiting law abiding citizens rights while not fixing a damn thing.

Soooo, before we discuss more limitations, where are legal gun owners going to gain ground on the gun grabbers?
