I have a Swiss army I got in high school in the early 90s with a stainless band and it still runs. I would wear it still but the band came loose where it meets the watch face because the bar bent.

Tried to have it fixed once at a jewelry store and the bar bent again much faster. It's still ticking so i should prob send it to the company and have it fixed.

Right after I send in a pair of Costas I have that I cracked the lens on and a hundred other things I need to do.

This watch has the same movement, tritium vial markers and $475 cheaper.

Those aren't the same watches, and I wasn't specifically saying which one to get...just telling him about Marathons. The 41 I posted looks cooler, but I've bought a watch from west coast and I think they're a great company.

Yea that was my point. You can buy the M-16 that has the same dial, hands markers, movement for about $500 cheaper. You just don't get an oversized crown.

Casio Diver can be found for less than 45 and a nice nato band makes for a good everyday combo

I've got a nice Hamilton khaki for most occasions and that casio diver you linked for when I do hard work. Boy, I've put that casio through some pain and that thing handles everything like a champ.

I'm all about design, and those cases couldn't be more different. I like the one you posted, it just doesn't look as good. No worries though, it's all about budget and wants. I think got a purchase like this you look until you find something you can't live without. Hopefully this helps him narrow it down.

I want one, but I'm in no position to purchase such a luxury item for myself. I'd love that watch though. I'll get that manual winder one day.

Great looking watch. Never seen that one.

You made it too small, I can't read Made in Germany...the best part.

Badass. I love the silver dial...similar to mine except much cooler since it has less markings.

I changed the strap and put a deployant clasp on it. It came with a more tan colored strap.

I keep looking at the Stowa's and keep talking myself out of them.

Probably because I bought like a half dozen watches this year

These watch threads always fascinate me.

Are watches for boys like shoes are for girls?

Man Jewelry

For many it is a fashion thing.

For many it is a status thing.

My grandfather had a Rolex that he bought in Paris at the end of WWII. I have always wanted a Rolex because of that.

He always told me that a gentleman should always wear a nice watch and I have always been in to them since I was a kid. Mostly because of him.
