Cool interactive graphic. Put in the year of your birth and it will show you every date and path of every solar eclipse until you hit 100 years old (assuming you make it that far).

Looks like 2024 is the year!

ETA: Gonna dust off Watcher in the Woods in 2023 to get hyped up.

Looks like North LA should get about .85 magnitude on the upcoming one.

I'm guessing time of the year and subsequent distance to the sun.

Time of year; how far away the moon is at that particular time, etc.

That line runs right over my hometown, it's small like 4k people, so they are pimping this opportunity hard.

The city didn't put on 4th of July fireworks, instead they are going to shoot them off during, or the night of the eclipse.

People in this lil Podunk town are renting out their houses and everything else for this junk. Kinda crazy.

Eh, I guess it has the second longest "viewing time" of the eclipse as it happens at just under 2.5 minutes. Interesting stuff

This makes me think those stories where the white men trick the natives into believing they're wizards by timing their "magic" via a solar eclipse is complete bullshite.
