Ever think how cool memory is? How your brain can record certain events so clearly?

Even things from decades ago, yet you probably can’t recall what you had last Tuesday for lunch. Do you think we have the hidden ability to find every single event in our lives somewhere in our mind, or does our brain only press “Record” sometimes?

I read once that the memories of events that we replay in our mind, are often just our most recent memories of said events. Basically we are just remembering the last time we remembered something. Am I high???
