I moved to Seattle after graduating LSU in EE. The sapiosexual phenomenon does indeed, truly exist. Nerdy chicks at my office like nerdy dudes. These chicks aren't all that bad looking either. They get off when a dude can extrapolate big data using Hadoop, or solve algorithms and can code using Ruby, Perl, or manage a Python script. Believe it or not, nerdy dudes get laid a lot.
On the other hand, we have an infestation of hipsters here in Seattle, much like Austin. These people think they're sapiosexuals, however they suck at life while drinking their PBR ,wearing skinny jeans and flannel.

There's more douchebags per capita in LA than anywhere I've seen. I had an Oracle conference I had to attend back in Feb and I was amazed at the pretencious nature of that city. It makes me miss South, at least parts of it.
