Ever feel like your the only one who gives a shite at work?

CSB: I hate my job and I’m mediocre at it. And logging on is hard to do every day. But I absolutely bust my arse every day to do the best I can.
My clients couldn’t be bothered to give a shite if I do or don’t. I bring up important matters to them that I need them to acknowledge and to other groups daily and I get ignored. I told management and they just say “keep telling them” but it’s all a fricking waste of time and it’s humiliating

I started a new job in IT (new industry) during the middle of this pandemic and have been working remote ever since. It’s tough to learn and pick up needed skills from these superstar coworkers who have been doing it for years. I want to succeed too but find myself just hunting for something non-remote and local to my area not in IT.

Sounds like you're stressing yourself out for nothing. It be one thing if your clients or mgmt cared. But if neither don't, you should do just enough to not get fired.

Oh, management cares. The client is close to breaking our tolerance of accuracy in which case I get in trouble. It’s the people i work with to be as accurate as possible with my client and internal partners that don’t.
It’s literally “we see two different sources from you last week. One where you spent 6 million (fry) dollars and one where you didn’t. Which source is correct”

Gotcha. In that case document everything to show you did your due diligence in attempting to provide the best service.
You may still be the scapegoat, or it could provide the proof needed to get a better team around you.

Always remember it's so far harder to be the vendor/supplier than the client. I've never been on the client side myself so, I get it. You're generally dealing with people who either make purchases or doing nothing to justify it. Find the way to justify.

I don’t give a frick enough about work to bring it home. I work, I get paid, I go home. Straight up don’t give a shite about anything else.
