Live performances of Beethoven. The 5th and 9th symphonies were the last two that I have seen. Both were very moving experiences. The 9th particularly.

Beethoven's 3rd does it.

There are plenty sad songs and songs that bring back memories that are tear-jerkers.

But Symphony No. 3 hits me from a pure musical perfection standpoint.

Yes. Everything Beethoven pretty much. The Third is both artistic and personal for me.

I told my wife the other day that there was Beethoven, a fairly large gap, then Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Handel,Tchaikovsky, Chopin, a few others, another large gap and everybody else.
