Charge the battery correctly and they last a long time. All that data is on the vehicle

I just got an Ioniq 5 and installed a Grizzl-e classic in the garage, and it works beautifully.
We absolutely love this ev. It is perfect for city life as long as you can charge at home.
We have a 2 year free charging deal through Hyundai which we used recently for a 2k mile road trip. It was easy to map and plan the trip using the EA map, so cost of fuel was $0.

Soon you will realize what everyone now knows, that you are a cuck.

And there you confirmed it.

I’m curious why this would happen? Do you tell this to golf cart owners too?

Don't cheap out on it. Spend the extra to get an 80 amp breaker installed with a surge protector on that breaker (they will have to run a 100 amp rated wire). Purchase a charging station that will deliver an 80 amp charge, and you'll be topped off in 5-15 minutes after a days commute, and less than 4 hours if you are getting back from a long trip at close to 0.

The 40 amp is fine 99.9% of the time, but the 80 amp takes away any and all worries about home charging speed.

I've had my Tesla for 2.5 years now. I only can charge at 32 amps max with my setup, but 99% of the time I just do a trickle charge at 5 amps. 80 amps seems like overkill to me.

It’s gonna suck if you find out your box is tapped out and you have to decide between your laundry machine or new car.

Or just do the smart thing and add duplex or quad breakers in your load center and open up space or if it is truly maxed out just add a sub-panel.

Unlike Tesla, GM and Ford can do V2H powering of your house in a power outage, which was my main reason for going from 40A to 80A. The GM V2H enablement kit is pretty expensive, so the 80A might be overkill for the OP.

The other reason for 80A is to future-proof it if he decides to do the V2H thing later, regardless of manufacturer.
