What hotel did this happen at?
The guests names were probably La-a and Lemonjello. A friend I know told me the story, they worked at the hotel, but doesn't want to say which one because they could get in trouble.

Word is that they were BBQ'ing inside the hotel rooms near Bourbon Street area & hotel maid service would use a rake to clean up the chicken bones off the carpet...

Every hotel in the FQ that I have stayed in had smoke detectors and windows that do not open, those two things put the “in-room barbque” stories in the category of urban myths.

A gas grill wouldn’t really give off much smoke unless you started burning the food

Stayed in hotel that had a balcony open up in FQ.
Didnt someone post up pics of bbq grills in rooms?

Threads like this show the ignorance and racist undertone of this board. The Essence crowd is probably one of the most sophisticated and elegant crowd at any festival in the US.
